NT scan for Down’ syndrome

Nuchal translucency scan (NT ) is commonly practiced in developed countries but… It is still consider a luxury in developing countries.

NT scan which is done between 11 to 13 weeks of pregnancy is a crucial investigation not only in order to screen your baby for down’s syndrome but also to screen your for pre eclampsia ( hypertension during pregnancy) if you are found to be screen positive then treatment can be started to prevent further damage to you and your baby.
